The mission of ITC's co-founders is to write, read, develop and produce thought-provoking, challenging work that will enlighten,
enthrall and entertain. Projects are developed through collaboration and grass roots ambition; a collective run by artists for artists,
to allow them to create their own opportunities instead of their opportunities creating them. Ever-growing and always evolving, ITC
is constantly looking forward . . . and forever a work-in-progress.

The Independent Theatre Collective is exactly what it is - an independent collective of theatre artists - headquartered in the Northern Panhandle of
West Virginia. Members include nominees and winners of regional awards from such prestigious organizations as the Joseph Jefferson Awards
Committee (Chicago), the Theatre Roundtable (Columbus), the Southeastern Theatre Conference and the Association of American Community Theatres.

ITC's projects are developed through collaboration and grass roots ambition. A collective run by artists for artists, to allow them to create their own
opportunities instead of their opportunities creating them. The mission of ITC's co-founders is to write, read, develop and produce thought-provoking,
challenging work that will enlighten, enthrall and entertain. In its two year existence, the Collective has produced an award-winning original play (CATCH & RELEASE);
a sell-out run of William Inge's contemporary classic, BUS STOP; introduced the Ohio Valley to three unique series - Shake on the 'Front (abridged Shakespeare on
Wheeling's historic waterfront), Friday Night Footlights (a monthly play reading series) and StoFest (a one-act play festival featuring WV playwrights) - and looks
forward to the premiere and extended run of an original musical ( [best imitation] ) in Summer 2010.

Ever-growing and always evolving, ITC is constantly looking forward . . . and forever a work-in-progress . . . Onward & Upward.
